Fancy Steamed Vegetables

These vibrant veggies make a delicious addition to any meal. Learn how to make these elevated sides by following the steps here. 



  • 1 Bunch broccolini 
  • 1 Bunch Dutch carrots, carrot tops set aside 
  • 1 Corn on the cob, cut into thirds 

Tahini Lemon Drizzle: 

  • ¼ cup tahini
  • ½ Lemon, juiced
  • 1 Spring onion, finely diced
  • 1 tbsp Pumpkin seeds
  • Fresh dill, to serve

Carrot Top Parsley Pesto: 

  • Carrot tops (leftover from Dutch carrots) 
  • Garlic clove, minced
  • ½ cup parsley leaves (optional extra to serve)
  • ¼ cup almonds, roughly chopped (optional extra to serve) 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch pepper


1.Combine tahini and lemon in a décor container and set aside. 

2.Blitz carrot tops, garlic, parsley, almonds, olive oil, salt and pepper in a food processor until combined. Store in a décor container and set aside. 

3.Cook your vegetables in your microwave according to your décor steamer instructions. 

4.Serve carrots topped with pesto and sprinkle with additional parsley leaves and chopped almonds. 

5.Serve broccolini and corn topped with tahini lemon drizzle. Sprinkle with spring onion, pumpkin seeds and fresh dill.
