Mulled Wine
Ingredients
Serves: 1.5L
- 1 cup apple juice
- 3 cinnamon sticks (plus extra for serving)
- 2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 750ml bottle of Red Wine
- 1-2 tbsp maple syrup to taste
Method
- In a saucepan, combine the wine, sugar, apple juice, fruit and spices.
- Warm in the saucepan over low heat and allow to simmer for 1 hour (2 hours on a slow cooker or crockpot on a low heat).
- Strain before serving.
- Serve with Dehydrated orange garnish and cinnamon sticks. Enjoy warm!
