Mulled Wine

Ingredients

Serves: 1.5L

  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 3 cinnamon sticks (plus extra for serving)
  • 2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 750ml bottle of Red Wine
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup to taste


Method

  1. In a saucepan, combine the wine, sugar, apple juice, fruit and spices.
  2. Warm in the saucepan over low heat and allow to simmer for 1 hour (2 hours on a slow cooker or crockpot on a low heat).
  3. Strain before serving.
  4. Serve with Dehydrated orange garnish and cinnamon sticks. Enjoy warm!
