Maple Spiced Nuts

Ingredients

Serves: 4

  • 1 cup each peanuts, cashews, walnuts, almonds 
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup 
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup 
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1/2 tsp ginger 
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg 
  • Pinch cloves 


Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a large baking tray. 
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook on low heat until bubbly and slightly thickened. 
  3. Spread the mixture across the baking tray and bake in the oven for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure nothing burns.
  4. Wait for the nuts to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
