Gingerbread Biscuits

How cute are these little gingerbread men stored in our Tellfresh container! The perfect baking gift or school holiday treat to make with your little ones.


● 60g salted butter
● 1/3 cup brown sugar
● 1.5 cup golden syrup
● 1.5 cups plain flour
● 1 tsp ground ginger
● ½ tsp cinnamon
● ¼ tsp cloves
● ½ tsp baking powder


1. Line a baking tray and allow butter to soften for 5 minutes.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
3. Add the golden syrup and whisk until smooth.
4. Sift in the flour and add the baking powder and spices and stir until a uniform dough forms.
5. Place the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes while you preheat the oven to 160C.
6. After chilling, roll the dough out on a floured surface to about ½ cm thick.
7. Using cookie cutters, cut out as many cookies as the dough will allow, and distribute them across the tray.
8. Bake for approximately 8 minutes or until golden brown. Decorate as desired with your favourite icing or toppings!
