Microwavable Containers

To see if your container is microwave safe, search the base of your container to see if the below logo is etched or printed on the base of your container. Alternatively, you can visit our care instructions page and select the product you have to see if suitable for microwave use.

Décor undergoes extensive testing on products to ensure they are safe to be microwave to make ‘microwave safe’ claims. Glass is heat resistant and non-toxic so is safe to be microwaved. Microwave safe plasticis suitable for microwave reheating (or cooking in some cases like our Microsafe Cook range).We suggest avoiding high sugar contact, high fatty content, or overly acidic items to ensure your plastic does not melt or pit.Other materials that are safe to microwave are ceramic, silicone, paper towels or parchment paper and wax paper. Some items we recommend never adding to the microwave are metal, aluminium foil, brown paper bags and plastic wrap as these can catch fire or emit toxic fumes/contaminate your food. 

Before adding your container to the microwave, we suggest checking the care and usage guides of the product. 

Microsafe ™, Thermoglass™ and Vent & Seal™ is suitable to keep the lid ON with the vent open for microwave use. 

The Fresh Seal Clips™ range, Match-Ups™  range and Tellfresh™ range is suitable for microwave use without the lid or with the lid on ajar.  

Please remove the lid with caution as to not burn yourself with the steam.
