Lunch Cooler Bags

Cooler bags can keep your food warm due to the insulation inside the bags. It is recommended that you only keep your food in the cooler bag for a short period of time for food safety. If you’re unsure about safe food temperatures, please refer to Food Safety Standards website here.

You can put ice in a cooler bag however, it can get a little messy. For best practise, we recommend using an ice brick or gel ice pack to keep the chilled items cool. These often last longer than standard loose ice. A cooler bag works by using insulation to slow down the transfer of heat keeping cold items cold (and hot items warm) for a longer period of time. Using Insulated layers, you have a durable fabric for the outer layer, the middle layer traps in the cold (or heat) and in the inner lining is a water-resistant layer that protects against leaks and is food safe.
